Surfacing Standards Limited (SSL) is an independent sports pitch consultants, with expertise that goes way beyond the surface. From hockey pitches to tennis courts, the SSL team carefully plan, design, and install premium quality, synthetic sports surfaces across the UK.

SSL were gaining momentum, enjoying a larger market share and an enhanced reputation within their sector – they just needed a brand identity and web presence to reflect this. Which is where we stepped in.

We carefully evolved the SSL brand as the ‘go-to’ sports surfaces specialists – capable and meticulous, with a track record and client list to prove it. We repositioned them to ensure that their visual language, messaging, and every client-facing touchpoint portrayed them as the true experts in their field.

We designed and built the new SSL website. With good user experience at its heart, the website is bold, confident, easy to navigate, and packed full of useful information. It maximises their impressive portfolio with the use of drone footage and aerial photography.

Showcasing the brand

Trade shows are important for SSL. As a major route to new business, they attend dozens each year, with the opportunity to showcase themselves, push their USPs, knowledge, and expertise. With this in mind, we designed a suite of sector-specific brochures, eye-catching promotional materials, and easy to transport display stands.

The new brand look and feel, alongside the printed materials, display stands, and enhanced web presence work collectively to build trust and ensure that SSL stands out in a competitive marketplace.
