Established in 1875, Neville Funerals is an independent funeral directors with several branches in the South East of England. We were tasked with creating a new brand, brand strategy, and producing print and digital resources, including their website. In addition, we designed new signage across their eight branches.

The brief

Neville came to us for our brand expertise and at the same time were confident we had them fully covered for print, signage and digital services. It was important that we retained Neville’s excellent brand reputation, while at the same time, allowing a strong, modern and authentic brand identity to emerge.

As a well-established business and brand, we knew it was vital to create a reassuringly confident, friendly and professional presence.

Our expert sector knowledge enabled us to position Nevilles as a reliable, compassionate funeral directors with a difference. We communicated this throughout advertising, the website, and printed materials. Emphasising the quality that sets them apart inspired us to create the following key message: Neville Funerals. Because there is a difference.

The Newenglish team really embraced and worked to understand our business values and went over and above to assist in rethinking our brand, website and messaging. The project was fast moving with an immovable end date, but we achieved our schedule and were delighted with the end results and the impact it has had on our team and the communities in which we serve. Increased website visitors

The website has enjoyed a 25% uplift in user traffic, primarily due to the addition of funeral notices which provides the ability for the public to donate to the chosen charity of the individual and find out information about the funeral service. Users are also staying on the website for 16% longer.

Clarity

Because of the nature of the business, creating a printed brochure including funeral prices was important to help distressed clients go back over what to expect after the arrangement meeting.
