Our client approached Newenglish to realise their vision – to fill a gap in the market with a new take on the highstreet coffee chains, by offering great coffee and teas, authentic gelato and freshly made food, served in a truly independent, warm, friendly atmosphere.
It sounded almost too good to be true.
The Thinking
The first step was to create a new name for this venture that would encapsulate what makes this coffee shop different from all the others. The name Brü was born, suggesting freshly made drinks and food, in a short and memorable word.
To give the interior a warm, quirky and homely feel we carefully sourced key elements of the fit-out such as furniture, lighting, wallpapers, flooring and ceiling treatments to give a richly textured feel. Reclaimed materials create stunning wall coverings, salvaged old books were transformed into charming lights, and quirky shelves and varied seating styles divide the space up and give each area its own character and mood.
The new Brü brand look was of course tastefully applied to fascia signage, canopy and pavement barrier banners, branded tableware and napkins, food packaging, labels, menus and more.
The Result
From the day it opened its doors, Brü has been a massive hit with Leicester's more discerning café-goers. Customers are regularly posting and sharing their experiences and rave reviews of the interior styling on social media, helping to build a regular customer base very rapidly. We're pretty sure it won't be long before a few more Brü's open, based on this success!
